The Cocowhip brand was established in 2014 on the Gold Coast by Australian entrepreneur Danny Bogatie, following a simple yet powerful realisation: families deserved a frozen treat that was both enjoyable and aligned with a healthier lifestyle. This “lightbulb moment” was inspired by everyday family moments and a desire to create better options without compromising on taste or experience.
Danny set out to reinvent soft serve from the ground up. The result was Cocowhip — a smooth, coconut-based frozen dessert crafted without dairy, gluten, or refined sugar. Unlike conventional soft serve, Cocowhip was designed to deliver a lighter nutritional profile while maintaining the creamy texture and indulgent satisfaction consumers expect.
Originally developed for cafés, dessert bars and food-service operators, Cocowhip quickly gained recognition for bringing a new category of better-for-you soft serve to the market. Today, the brand has evolved further with the launch of its ready-to-use at-home range — allowing families to enjoy the same premium Cocowhip experience in their own kitchens. With no mixing or measuring required, the convenient pour-and-churn format makes creating a healthier frozen treat at home easier than ever.
